Western Perspectives: Three Views
August 11th - October 1st, 2010
Reception for the artists
Wednesday, August 11th, 6-8pm
Featuring the work of: Nathan Solano, Simon Winegar and Lloyd Schermer
Three artists express their view of the west in three distinctive ways. Simon Winegar o
f Utah is what Western Art Collector calls one of the best young artist to watch. His uniquely subtle style reveals a richness and depth of tone and color that are a pleasure to view. Lloyd Schermer uses rare and antique type blocks as the source of his unusual wall sculpture. The Smithsonian American Museum houses one of
Schermer’s works as the only piece in the museum one is encouraged to touch. Nathan Solano is a long time Coloradan who works in a more traditional vein. He likes to go on cattle drives with modern cowboys to get the authentic feeling for his art. His well-collected work speaks volumes about this
wonderful Western tradition.
