Artist Presentation with Jill Soukup
Saturday, September 18, 2010
5 to 7pm
Ann Korologos Gallery, Basalt, CO

Jill Soukup Painting The Ann Korologos Gallery is delighted to present Colorado artist JillSoukup in a live art demonstration Saturday evening, September 18th, from 5pm to 7pm. This is a unique and unusual opportunity to meet and talk to the artist as she paints.  While working in oil with brush and palette knife, she will discuss the appeal of the artistic process, whether the subject is western animals or the urban landscape.  Jill’s approach is to take apart the subject, reassemble or modify the shadow, color or line.  As such, her work incorporates a strong duality that defines her interpretation of form and light.  Jill was among the most popular artists shown at this year’s Coors Western Art Invitational in Denver.  Her paintings are included in many private, corporate and public collections including:  The Denver Museum of Nature and Science, The Madden Museum of Art and The Loveland Museum of Art. “Jill is a wonderful painter- her surfaces are rich and inviting.” says gallery art director, Jay Magidson.
