I studied art at Stanford University and many years with Anstis Lundy, where my great love of watercolor began. I lived and studied in Paris for my junior year where my god-mother Marion Pike also lived. She was a fabulous artist and was always a great influence and teacher. Through the years I have participated in numerous art classes at Anderson Ranch in Snowmass Village, Colorado.

I live on a beautiful cattle ranch in Old Snowmass, Colorado where I have a spacious studio adjacent to my garden, which is an inspiration for many of my paintings. We spend a good deal of time in Kenya with friends, which inspire all the animals I paint.
